Microneedling

Microneedling at our Rathfarnham clinic uses a device with very fine needles to create tiny, controlled micro-channels in the skin. It is also known as collagen-induction therapy.

Those micro-channels are a signal to the skin to repair itself. In response it produces fresh collagen and elastin, the fibres that firm and plump the skin, so texture and tone improve from within.

Microneedling is a proven way to soften the look of scarring, including acne scars, refine enlarged pores and uneven texture, and reduce fine lines. Results build gradually over a course, which is part of why they look so natural.

We start with a consultation so we can assess your skin and plan a course. A numbing cream keeps the treatment comfortable, and while your skin can look flushed, similar to mild sunburn, for a day or two, that usually settles quickly. Your therapist will guide you on aftercare and sun protection.

Book a consultation online, or call the clinic on Main Street, Rathfarnham Village, Dublin 14.

A consultation is recommended before your first treatment.
